About Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari

Imola GP 2023 - Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari

Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari

  • No. of Laps: 63
  • No. of Corners: 20
  • Circuit Length: 4.909 km
  • Race Distance: 309.049 km

Imola evolved from a course set up on public roads into one of Europe's historical courses, offering a true test of the driver and the vehicle. It is quick, fluid, and has a decent range of elevation. There is usually little margin for error because of its roots and position, which is literally in the middle of a city.

Fans have always cheered when Formula 1 racing takes place on the renowned tarmac of the legendary Imola track. Since its return to the Formula 1 calendar in 2020, fans have come to see Lewis Hamilton (2020) and Max Verstappen (2021 and 2022) stand on the top step of the podium at the high-speed Autodromo Internazionale Enzo E Dino Ferrari.

Grandstand 1

At the turn 1 entry into Tamburello, Grandstand 1 is situated exactly next to Grandstand A. With an open stand and a sizable screen directly across from your seats, you can see the weekend activities. As this stand is closer to the ground than its neighbors I, M, and A, the view may be partially hampered by fencing.

Grandstands 2, 3, and 4

Grandstands 2 through 4 are a group, with all three situated at the Tamburello chicane's exit on the inside of the track. You will be close to the action in these stands, with a prominent view on your right of the race cars exiting the opening set of bends thanks to the unique layout of the Imola course.

Grandstand R

The final corner, Rivazza, at Imola is the most well-liked spot for overtakes, and Grandstand R is situated on the inside of this turn. Grandstand R is the best option if on-track overtakes are what you're after because it's a tight, congested circuit where overtakes are scarce. Grandstand R is a "natural" grandstand, which means it is actually a hill.

Grandstands I, M, and A

Grandstands I, M, and A, a group of three grandstands along the brief start/finish straight, are coveted locations on the course. From your seats, you will be able to see a wide variety of things, including the starting grid, parc ferme, and the pit lane. You can watch the vehicles fly down the main straight, around the last curve, Rivazza, and into the Tamburello corner.

General Admission

Although general admission spectators' views will likely be less exhilarating than those of the grandstand spectators, one advantage is the ability to move around and switch viewing locations while the race is in progress. For the best viewing spots, head to the General Admission areas close to turns 10 and 20.
